I agree that the engine room is in no way responsible for the safekeeping of my personal belongings while I attend class, gym or sauna. I understand that classes and gym workouts may be physically strenuous and I voluntarily participate in them with full knowledge that there is risk of personal injury, property loss or death. I agree that neither I, my heirs, assigns or legal representatives will sue or make any other claims of any kind whatsoever against or its members for any personal injury, property damage/loss, or wrongful death, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

The Engine Room Fitness Centre will not be responsible for any harm or injury that you suffer as a result of taking part in any activity whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

All equipment has been designed and tested to be safe with correct use. It is your responsibility to ensure you understand how to use each machine.  Anyone using the Engine Room Fitness Centre does so at his or her own risk we can accept no liability for injury or accident caused by your own negligence or otherwise.

You should not take part in any physical activity for which you may not be fit. You are responsible for monitoring your own condition during physical activity. If you develop any unusual symptoms you must stop the activity immediately and tell a member of staff. If you suffer from a pre-existing medical condition, are pregnant or returning to exercise after a long break please seek advice from your GP before commencing an exercise programme or regime.

Ensure that you warm up before commencing your workout to help prevent injury.  Appropriate clothing and footwear must be worn at all times whilst operating the cardio machines.  A towel should be carried at all times and machines should be wiped down after use as a courtesy to fellow members.  During busy periods it may be necessary to limit the time on individual machines; staff will notify customers in this case.

1 month and 3 month memberships cannot be refunded, frozen or transferred to other person in any circumstances.

6 month or annual memberships may be frozen in the event that you DEVELOP a medical condition which prevents you from using the services on an on going basis.  An appropriate medical practitioner must provide written evidence that is so.  You must inform us in writing BEFORE you intend to freeze your membership.  The freeze period is available only once and cannot be extended.  However it may be between 1 and 6 months.

All under 18’s must have a consent form signed signed by a parent/guardian before participating in any activities at the The Engine Room Fitness Centre, under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
